Couldn't resist a pic of the largest of my Ports I got a while back from cichlid mad. No idea on sex yet.

Really pleased with how they're turning out. I love the dark cheek patch and the blue in the unpaired fins. This fish is just under 3" long total length.

Thanks! Can't wait for him/ her to become adult. Gonna be stunning! Apparently Ports don't defend that large a territory, so I'm thinking I could maybe have a pair of Ports and a pair of Chocolate cichlids living together (at least until the Chocolates get massive). That'd be a nice tank to watch.

It's a real shame he's homicidal!

how do you mean homicidal Martin? is he trying to jump out the tank?

I meant it in a loose sense. Obviously he hasn't been killing any humans. "Chessey"

He's so far killed a 4" female cutteri and two 3" siblings. As a result he's been imprisoned behind a divider until I can grow up a female for him to breed with.

Pretty sure they're back to being Cichlasoma now actually. The heading is out of date!
