Beautiful photos of a beautiful place! I once went on hols to a tiny village called Boot in the LD at the bottom of Scafel pike (spell?), the postman brought everything, milk/food etc because we were in the middle of nowhere lol. The scenery was stunning!!!

Hi
Thanks for all the kind comments, they were take with a crappy 4 megapixel camera so they turned out excellent considering!

Buttermere is one of those places were you want to got back to.
We stay in a hotel called the bridge which is a really nice small hotel, it's beer garden is on the side of a stream where the aquatic life is amazing! I call it eel river, it is packed with them!
There are wild brown trout, minnows and many other species.
Last time we visited the minnows were in spawning colouration... !WOW! I can honestly say that I have never seen a fish as colourful, even Tropicals! They were just gleaming in every colour of the rainbow. STUNNING.

The mountain tarns are also fascinating as they are a whole world on their own!
